New Membership Goal & Incentives!!!
It's been a great 3 weeks at DES and the students are adjusting well. As you know the PPA has been holding its annual membership drive. The money raised during this drive is used to buy equipment and supplies for the school. However, this years membership numbers are very low (37.16%) and the PPA will not be able to buy supplies or fund the courtyard cleanup.
Our new goal for the 2014-2015 Membership Drive is to raise $4,000, that is $5 per student. If we can reach this goal ALL the students at DES will be treated to a Free Popcorn Party..jpg)
Also, the top 2 homerooms with the highest percentage of memberships will have a pizza party.
Current Top 3 Homerooms:
1. Golson (136.36%); 2. Cigrang (102.17%); 3. Hornbuckle (72.73%); 4. Walker (61.36%) 5. Mason (60.87%)
September 18th at 5pm will be the 1st General Membership Meeting for PPA members. If you have not paid your membership dues, you will not be allowed to attend the meeting. We will be collecting membership dues at the door prior to the start of the meeting.

5:00??? Don't most people work until 5:00?
We do realize that most of our members work until 5pm; however, our the faculty & staff have been at school until 7am (if not earlier) and they stay at school until the meeting ends. We try to accommodate the faculty and staff, so they can get home to their families too.
What's the cut off date for the homeroom pizza party contest?
There's no official cut off date YET! I will keep the blog updated on our goal and when we will official stop collecting membership money.
